Three boys from a family of 8, sisters Penny, Diane, Brenda, Theresa, and Buni. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario brothers Richard and Paul make up the rest of this family folk band. Parents Hubert and Jackie both had a strong roll in guiding their children into a life of music, remembering them enjoying it with friends and family. As the years grew along with the boys, they began playing their own music with the help of friends. Influenced by Neil Young, James Taylor, Crosby Stills & Nash, and Simon & Garfunkle the Cleary Brothers bringing a classic folk sound. Richard says his mother gave him the gift of voice, while dad provided the guitar strumming skills. With 35 years experience together, time and effort have now paid off. Joe, Richard and Paul have offically recorded their first record 'A Family Tradition'. With children of their own and no recordings by previous family, the brothers thought it was high time to put their music out there. Cleary Brothers have worked on passing their musical interest to keep the tradition alive through to future generations. Children Richard Clark, Nathan Smith, Joey Cleary, and Jessica Cleary all took part in the making of this record, truely making it a family process.
